Impact of Artificial Intelligence in future Defense Systems

Artificial Intelligence is one of the most promising technologies for current and future systems. There are multiple applications in defense that currently are implementing AI techniques such as:

• Image patterns for reconnaissance applications.
• AI techniques for electronic warfare systems supporting de-interleaving methods of received signals.
• IR image detection algorithms based on neural networks.
• Condition based Maintenance strategies based on big data analysis and machine learning implementations.

The lecture will emphasize some of the current Spanish MoD developments in which Artificial Intelligence and big data analysis are implemented and future developments/systems that will be based on IA such as: doctrines for combat system engageability criteria, IA techniques against swarm drones, etc.
