Future Public Pocurement using AI techniques

IT-systems for Procurement are today widely used among European authorities and are becoming increasingly popular also in the private sector. The basic tools facilitate publishing of notices, e-tendering, supplier dialogue and contract management. More advanced systems use integrated requirement text management, template hierarchy, form based tendering and automated evaluation. Recently Natural Language Processing (NLP), based on INCOSE Guide for Writing Requirements, was introduced in a Procurement system used widely in Sweden. The NLP solution is developed in cooperation with a Spanish organisation and provide direct integrated feedback on phrases during contract specification work. The presentation includes an outlook on what will be the next step in the use of AI in procurement systems.
